The CKL Group is set to forge a stronger presence nationwide through its newly launched Lim Tayar Family (LTF) initiative. Through this, more strategic partnerships and new services are in the offing, such as its licensing programme and complimentary vehicle inspection and certification for the used car market.
Under its LTF programme, tyre retailers and workshop owners will be able to leverage on the strength and support of the Lim Tayar brand name to enhance their services and competitiveness. The programme, apart from helping the new partners in training, manpower and marketing, will also herald the expansion of Lim Tayar’s services to other parts of the country. Currently, Lim Tayar has 19 outlets in the Klang Valley and Seremban.
At the same time, the group is also offering complimentary vehicle inspection and certification services for the sale of used vehicles through its partnerships with industry leaders forged over the last few months.
According to CKL Group’s Joint Managing Director Clement Lim, the group views partnerships with industry leaders as part of the new norm to bring the respective partners’ strength to the table and create a more robust and consistent ecosystem overall.
On the provision of complimentary vehicle inspection and certification services for the sale of used cars, Mr Lim said these services will initially be offered at eight Lim Tayar outlets in the Klang valley. The free inspection service will be carried out by trained and experienced Lim Tayar technicians at these selected outlets.
“We will be adding on more outlets to carry out the complimentary vehicle inspection service as we progress. We started offering this service as a pilot project to ensure tip-top service quality and smooth operations before we roll out to the rest of the outlets,” said Lim.
Used vehicles that have undergone the inspection will have a full report. The report will give assurance to potential buyers that the vehicle has been inspected and verified according to what the seller has declared, while indicating the current condition of the vehicle in detail.
Should there be a need for repairs upon inspection, Lim Tayar’s wide range of vehicle service and repair offerings will also make it easier for sellers to get any repairs done before putting their vehicles up for sale.
Lim Tayar’s outlets are strategically located in the urban and sub-urban areas in the Klang Valley which makes it easier and convenient for customers to send in their cars for inspection and certification.
The eight Lim Tayar outlets offering car inspection service are in Gombak, Section 13 Shah Alam, Sentul, Old Klang Road, Hulu Kelang, Subang Jaya, Taman Tun Dr Ismail and Section 26 Shah Alam.
The CKL Group is also partnering relevant industry leaders through its technical vocational training arm, School of Skills to broaden technical education capabilities for students in its quest to provide a holistic offering to car owners and buyers. Lim Tayar technicians and foremen alike, are also fully trained by School of Skills to ensure consistent good quality service and to equip them with the technical know-how for trouble shooting and repairs.
